New technology is evolving at a tremendous speed and makes it possible to think smarter when we plan the cities and communities of tomorrow. It is about making life better for the inhabitants, but also about building better and more sustainably. It’s about reuse. It’s about energy efficiency. About green lungs and smart buildings. The buildings we build will last a lifetime or longer. They must function today, but also meet the needs and requirements of the future.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have all struggled with the lack of social contact and met the challenges working from home or not having a job to go to. Has the pandemic given us a greater understanding of the importance of public spaces and soicial engagement? To secure a relevant and solid program for the track Urban Development, we have joined forces with Norsk Eiendom and Smarte Byer Norge. Together we aim to create an arena for debates and discussions between the real estate business and the connected sectors.
Norsk Eiendom is a member driven organisation working to promote the interests of the real estate sector in Norway. They have 250 members, and their purpose is to contribute to robust and predictable framework conditions for socially and economically sustainable urban development.
With their 230+ members, Smart Cities Norway (Smarte Byer Norge) is the largest Smart City network in Norway and the Nordics. Their mission is to help accelerating smart city development in Norway.
